Lumoraah pieces are made from real stones, pearl, and plated metal — materials that love to be worn but appreciate a little care. Treat them gently and they will keep their lustre for years.
Daily wear
Jewellery is last on, first off. Put your bracelet on after your perfume, sunscreen, and moisturiser have absorbed, and take it off before showers, workouts, and bed. This single habit prevents the majority of stone discolouration and clasp wear we see.
Cleaning
Wipe pieces with a soft, lint-free cloth after each wear to remove oils and sunscreen residue. For a deeper clean, use a small bowl of lukewarm water with a single drop of mild dish soap. Swish briefly, lift out, rinse with clean water, and pat dry with a soft towel. Lay flat to air-dry fully before storing.
Storing
Store each piece flat in its dust pouch, away from direct sunlight and away from other jewellery so chains and beads do not tangle or scratch. A cool drawer is ideal — heat and humidity speed up tarnish.
Avoid
- Chlorine and pool chemicals — they pit plating quickly.
- Salt water — fine for a quick dip, but rinse immediately afterwards.
- Direct perfume and hairspray contact on stones.
- Sleeping in pieces with delicate stones or fine cord.
Stretch cord
Stretch-cord bracelets last longest when you slip them on and off carefully — roll over the widest part of your hand rather than tugging the cord. Avoid stretching the cord further than necessary, and the elastic will hold its shape well past a year of daily wear.
